Who Can Attend a Hooks of Hope Retreat?

Hooks of Hope retreats are built for veterans and active duty service members who could use a little time on the water, good people around them, and a chance to reset, reconnect, and be encouraged.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you apply.

A Few Ground Rules:

• You must be a veteran or active duty service member 
• You must arrive clean and sober 
• No drugs or alcohol are allowed at any point during the retreat 
• Hooks of Hope is a faith-based organization, so conversations may include the Bible, faith, Jesus, purpose, and spiritual growth 
• You do not need to be a Christian to attend — but you do need to come with an open mind and a respectful attitude 

We’re serious about creating a safe, encouraging, and healthy environment for everyone there.

That means if someone is argumentative, disruptive, disrespectful, or unwilling to honor the culture of the retreat, they may be asked to leave.

In short:

Come ready to fish, connect, laugh, learn, and maybe even heal a little.

Once you are cleared to attend and a date has been selected, the following forms must be completed in full:

Hooks of Hope Registration Form 

Hooks of Hope Liability Waiver for Destination Events 

Hooks of Hope Code of Conduct Agreement 

Please email completed forms to john@hooksofhope.org within 7 days of being cleared to attend.
