How to Attend

Retreat Eligibility & Expectations:

Hooks of Hope retreats are for veterans and active duty service members who could use a few days on the water, solid people around them, and a chance to breathe, reconnect, and be encouraged.

If that sounds like something you need, we’d love to hear from you.

Who Can Attend?

To attend a Hooks of Hope retreat, you must be:

  • A veteran or active duty service member
  • Willing to come with a respectful attitude
  • Able to participate in a safe, healthy, group environment

A Few Important Things to Know

We want these retreats to be a place where people can relax, connect, and get the most out of the experience. To help make that possible:

  • Participants must arrive clean and sober
  • Drugs and alcohol are not permitted during the retreat
  • Hooks of Hope is a faith-based organization, so there will likely be conversations around faith, the Bible, Jesus, purpose, and spiritual growth
  • You do not need to be a Christian to attend, and no one is there to pressure or force anything on you — we simply ask that everyone be respectful of the environment and of one another

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: to create a retreat environment that is safe, encouraging, healthy, and life-giving for everyone involved.

Because of that, anyone who is consistently disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive, or unwilling to honor the retreat environment may be asked to leave.

In Short, Come ready to fish, connect, laugh, learn, and maybe heal a little too.
