Hero Care

Our hero care program is specially tailored to those who have served our country and now face challenges like PTSd, depression, physical health concerns, or difficulties transitioning to civilian life. Through dedicated resources and partnerships we help these veterans and active duty service members heal. What we offer: 

• Fishing Trips: Our fishing events are designed for adventure, fellowship, introspection, and connection. Each fun filled, 3-day event features amazing food, entertainment, guest speakers, as well as, education seminars on fishing tackle and tactics, regenerative medical care, inner-healing exercises, and more. Best of all, participants have a blast chasing trophy pelagics like mahi, wahoo, sailfish, and tuna offshore, or inshore fighters like snook, tarpon, and redfish. 

• Hooks of Hope Partner Network: Emotional wellness is a process and doesn't happen overnight. Which is why part our process involves connecting our participants with local Churches, Mentorship Programs, Support Groups, and Clinical Counselors.​ When you donate, you help provide up to 12 weeks of counseling to these participants FREE OF CHARGE. 

• Regenerative Medical Care: Education and access to specialized treatments that may not be available from the VA. We help people find providers and when possible, pay for the care that’s needed to restore our warrior’s health. It’s hard to heal the mind if the body isn’t well. 

• Ongoing Mentorship: Healing comes from connection and understanding. With the help of our partners, we identify mentors that foster support through a growing network of Veteran peers and mentors.

• Vocational Assistance: We help with job placement through our partner network.

Our youth and community program is designed to provide support, mentorship, and positive outdoor experiences for children and their families, particularly those facing difficult life challenges. Whether it’s overcoming bullying, health issues, or home difficulties, Hooks of Hope offers experiences that inspire courage, resilience, and faith. We do this by providing:

• Fishing Trips: Our participants get to experience the excitement of fishing, both inshore and offshore, with trips that are designed to strengthen faith, build confidence, and foster encouragement. Whether chasing big pelagics offshore or inshore species like snook and tarpon, our adventures are a great way to build people up and connect them with God’s creation.

• Hooks of Hope Partner Network: We believe that a core need for everyone is connection. This is especially true of children. Because of this, Hooks of Hope helps our participants connect with local churches and mentorship programs to help build strong relationships with peers, counselors, and more.

• Annual Inshore Tournament: Join us for the Hooks of Hope Annual Inshore Fishing Tournament on the beautiful Indian River Lagoon! This exciting event brings together anglers of all levels for a fun day of fishing, food, music, and more.
